2000 transit, mwb mediun top (5’6″ inside ceiling to floor) compact campervan, lovingly converted from reclaimed wood, and hand painted. Handmade slimline wood burner. Two ring gas hob. 100 watt solar panel powering lights and 12v sockets. Designed for living off grid for long periods, hence no black waste tank and the solar penal trickle charges the starter battery as well as leisure. Insulated with dacron, and thermawrap with closed cell foam on ceiling to maximise space. Van suitable for winter use with woodburner. We lived in van for 9 months and travelled britian in it very happily, we are selling as we have a moved into a bus. Mot until February. We got the van extensively welded and it was thoroughly unsealed, the garage put two mots on it, six months before it due, we only found out later. We have also had the break caliper replaced and the break pads done. Body in fair good condition for model and age as we have had the work done on it. Engine never missed a beat, even up scottish mountains, very robust and healthy engine. Good fuel economy ( between 20 -30mpg), has bosch manual fuel so may take alternative fuels such biodisiel but we have never tried this.
Part converted when we bought it, We stripped back to the metal, stuff dacron every where, covered that with thermawrap to damp course it, then replace the board. then we fitted out the van with reclaimed wood fittings, recycled wool curtains, and got a woodburner especially made for the small space. The ceiling is closed cell foam and thermawrap with car felt covering. We wanted the van to live in. we got the underside completed restored and undersealed. conversion modelled on romany vardo.
