It is with a heavy heart that my beloved Rainbow is up for sale.
Rainbow is a LDV Maxus high top long wheel base converted campervan.
Model; LDV White Maxus HR LWB Panel Van
2499cc Diesel engine.
Manual 5 gear gearbox.
82,000 miles on the clock, very low mileage for her age (2008reg).
3 seated belts.
2 berth.
Ex military vehicle so had different plates before 2015!
12V split charge leisure battery which charges as you drive and gives you hours of electricity.
Fully rigged with lighting and electricity.
MOT being completed on 29th July therefore viewings from 2nd August onwards.

The drivers cab is admittedly in need of some TLC aesthetically but is fully functional. Definitely scope for personalisation with a spruce up. Areas to note are a small hole in the upholstery on the back of the passenger seat, cant work out how to work the radio, slightly droopy sun shield on drivers side, all aesthetics and easily fixable.
She boasts a bespoke handmade kitchen unit- fully fitted with a 3 ring gas hob which is portable so can be used to cook outside too (never used – comes with box & instructions) Just need a gas bottle in the cupboard underneath and painted in the statement Dusky Pink Eggshell.
Rainbow is fitted with a 25L water tank and a 10L waste water tank, and a USB chargeable pump tap to pump water into a 33cm stainless steel sink.

There is a 25L cool box stowed in the unit which runs off the electric system with excellent capacity.
4 USB charging sockets on the bedside cabinet also run off the electric system.
2 USB sockets within the kitchen cupboards to charge the tap, and 1 cigarette lighter socket to plug the fridge into.

Handmade curtains line on the two side window and across the back doors, and there are lined curtains to separate the cab and the back, always handy to be able to jump into the front in an emergency!

The bedside cabinet was designed to keep a potter-potty nice and discrete for when bathroom facilities aren’t nearby.
The bed is a double bed with a preloved mattress which is very comfortable!
Further storage area underneath fits the classic IKEA Kallax boxes which are easy to come by and personalise and provide even more useful storage accessible from the living area.

Being a high top van there is ample room to stand up so no crouching over whilst making you’re making tea! I am 5ft 10inches tall and have a good foot of room above my head still!
In the ‘Rainbow’ has plenty of storage to keep outdoor furniture/barbecue/table. Spare tyre and a van jack are also included, located under the drivers seat (jack) and under the van at the rear (spare tyre)

Rainbow is fully insulated with spray foam in the hollow beams, a layer of thermal foil insulation wrapping the entire van and then 6mm plywood all round. Rainbow is really warm and cosy!

There’s a roof vent above the bedroom area run off the electric system which is a two way fan with various speeds, extracting warm air, or drawing the outside air in. It also opens fully into a nice skylight window!
There is also two sliding windows, one on the side door and one behind the sink so air flow is definitely not a problem when you have the doors closed.

There are a few age related chinks and dents for more pictures please just ask! however the body is in fabulous condition, NO RUST! The underside of the van is in brilliant condition too!

The bits that need attention:
– R/S sliding section of window is perspex, not glass. It is cut to fit perfectly to size and doesnt let any cold in! Its always been fine for me but for the every weekend camper you may find you want to replace it with a piece of glass.
– hole in the back of the passenger seat cover.
– N/S back brake light plastic cover cracked
These bits are only minor jobs but understand they are a nuisance, hence the listing price😊
