This is our now very rare Iveco Zeta Cammpervan. It was professionally converted FROM NEW and was never used a a van. We didn’t buy from the original owner, but from a car collector’s estate who had passed away. It has always be housed in a garage or barn, and has been undersealed throughout its life as the condition of the bodywork and underneath show. .
The van is from 1984 and has 182k (km) on the clock. The ’91 and ’92 stickers in the window show it viaited switzerland in those years.
It is MOT EXEMPT and therefore LEZ COMPLIANT. So yes you can drive right through central London in this. I’m not exactly sure how or why that status was granted but it is handy for sure. We did MOT last year just to have it brake tested and checked but it flew through with no advisories. If the buyer would prefer for a new MOT to be put on there I’d be happy to, it just isn’t legally required.
Since I have owned it we put a new floor in, added skirting boards. It has 2 new leisure batteries and two new truck batteries. A solar 250w solar panel has been added, a brand new water pump, an art deco wood burner.
As for the mechanics, a full service was given to the 6L fiat engine including all filters and oil. New clutch master and slave cyclinders were fittted (including a spare of each bought as they are getting hard to find), and SEVEN new tyres were purchased at a cost of £1500. It drives superbly and we have been back and forth to the Netherlands about 8 times (we own a boat there we are restoring). As it was owned for so many years by a collector who employed a mechanic it really has been maintained to an exception degree. Everything works on it, gearbox and clutch are grand, engine starts on the button and runs great (see video for it starting up).
Again it’s best to see the video too but here is a description:
Electrics are so well done. Relays automatically switch power from battery to a 240-12v transformer when vehicle has hook up. Battery charger also starts at this point. Batteries are obviously split charged to charge when engine running as well as the 250w solar already mentioned. 240v sockets in kitchen and entrance, 12v cigarette lighter socket in entrance. 24v strip lights and 12v spots on ceiling and outside under the awning, all running of the leisure batteries. Microwave runs when have hook up, although an inverter could be added (I have one which i can supply).
Bed pulls out from the seating area and is a small double.
4 ring hob, oven and grill in the kitchen. Spice rack on the wall.
Sink and drainer.
Entrance is through the side door, rear doors are used to access a small garage/storage area
Bathroom has a cassette toilet with door on the side of the van, shower and sink.
All hot water runs of a gas boiler and via a brand new 60psi water pump. There are two 80L water tanks fitted under rhe truck. I also have two equal size waste tanks to fit but never got around to it, which come with the truck. Water currently empties to the ground.
Clothes Storage is under the seating area, the visable shelving (with boxes not photo’d) and a clothes rail in the cab.
All windows are bonoplex double glazed and have blinds. There is skylight above the childs bed.
As you can see in the photos there is a huge Fiamma electric awning which runs of the leisure batteries.
A fridge isn’t currently fitted but a 24v compressor fridge would fit under the sink as had been our intention.
I think I have covered most things but any questions please get in touch. Van is located in the Forest of Dean and can be viewed by appointment.
