The van has only had 3 owners since 1973!
This van started its life in Vermont – original Vermont dealer sticker still on the bodywork. Here it was owned by a farmer who owned it from new and kept it in a large barn right up to the 2000s. It was then purchased by a Ford dealer in Ohio who used it to camp with his family at the Illinois lakes. Then I bought it from the 2nd owner and travelled 5000 miles across America visiting Yellowstone National Park, Monument Valley and loved the van so much we put it on a boat in Texas and brought it back to the UK. Since then we have travelled around the UK and France in her. She is incredible and gets a lot of attention.
I searched for months looking for an original condition van and this was by far the best. We even visited the Winnebago factory in Iowa who couldn’t believe what excellent condition she is in – just as good as the example they have in their museum!
Obviously I am gutted to be selling such an iconic vehicle that has given my family such cherished memories but I’d love to see it go to another family who will love it as much as we have.
