Evie is your perfect Alpine inspired chalet getaway.

She has everything to make your camper van adventure as homely as possible whilst being designed with comfort and practicality in mind.

Evie will keep you toasty and warm, whatever the weather with thermostat controlled space heating. Wrap your day up with a hot chocolate courtesy of Evie's kitsch whistling kettle and we'll even throw in some cosy blankets to cuddle up in. Whilst being designed for the cold, Evie also performs exceptionally well in the heat owing to her sophisticated insulation which also works to keep the heat out on those hot days at the beach. The Fiamma Turbo vent fan, with in/out functionality, gives you the flexibility to ventilate the accommodation area as required.

Finished to an exceptional standard and with all the mod-cons you would expect to find, Evie has everything to offer. Relax on the bed and admire the view, cook yourself up a storm on the three ring hob or chill out with a book on the beautifully upholstered bench seating, you can make your weekend whatever you desire.

Evie hosts a fixed king size memory foam bed, making it luxuriously spacious for the perfect couple's retreat. Evie has entrance lighting together with sectioned lighting for the front (eating and entertaining) and back (snoozing and relaxing) of the van and features smart phone controlled LED lighting down the side of the bed - a finishing touch for the dream night in.

Centrally located in Henley on Thames: North, South, East or West - you decide. Cosy, cute and romantic: in Evie, your next adventure awaits.

There is a single driving seat and a double bench seat. The condition is near new on both. I designed the bulk head behind the drivers seat to be specially recessed, to allow tall people to drive easily. To give you an idea, I'm 6ft6 and have no problem at all.

    Conversion Story

Evie was designed primarily to journey to the Alps to enjoy winter sports at my convenience. I have a love for wood (as you will see), skiing and the mountains. So it's little surprise that I dream of owning an Alpine chalet. Since I don't have a couple of million quid lying around to buy one, I thought I would create the next best thing!!! As you may glean from the pictures, I've tried to echo chalet vibes in Evie's decor and soft furnishings, giving you the ultimate Alpine experience, wherever you decide to take her.
Evie features a fixed king sized memory foam mattress, making it an ideal couple's getaway vehicle!
Every aspect of Evie is hand crafted out of wood. I completed much of the base work in the winter months of 2017/18, working from my back garden. It was tough in the cold and dark but exceptionally rewarding to see the van taking shape. Little by little, over the course of a year, Evie was created.
The name Evie was given because I recently became an uncle for the first time, and Evie is the name of my baby Niece. I wish to share my love of natural materials through my creation, and inspire others to do something similar.

    Sanitary facilities

    • Shower: No
    • Portable toilet available as extra: This is a chemical Porta Potti toilet (I use organic decomposer, non-chemicals). It is just housed under the bed and my recommendation is to use it only when you have little alternative. It's a great bit of kit though!

    • Leisure Battery
    • Solar panel charging.
    • 12v Cigarette Lighter Sockets

    Audio Equipment

The cab has a brand new Kenwood CD stereo, with DAB radio, bluetooth, and an auxiliary port and USB charging. In the accommodation, I can provide a portable Bose speaker for a small charge. This, together with your mobiles, can be recharged easily via the USB points in the accommodation area.

In addition, there are 4 over-bed storage areas and a full height cupboard that has a clothes rail for hanging. There are also coat hooks. Evie's under bed storage can house skis and there are several large containers for belongings and laundry, etc.

    Other Items

Evie has a Propex heater powered by LPG propane gas. The tank will be full (80% is the max) on collection but if you need to top it up it is refillable at many petrol stations. However, with a 38L tank you should be just fine. The Propex in Evie has a thermostat, that allows you to keep the accommodation at a consistent temperate, meaning no cold toes.

There is a wooden table which pulls out from under the bed and is secured with barrel locks. It will comfortably sit 3 for dinner, for when you take advantage of the large 3 burner Thetford hob.

To keep your food and drink cool, Evie has a 21 litre Dometic Tropical TCX21 fridge that runs on the 12volt electrics. It is very energy efficient and can cool up to 30 below the ambient temperature, which means everything will stay nice and cold.

The 2 top of the range sealed gel 110AH batteries are charged via solar and a VSR that charges when the vehicle is in motion, so you can voyage off grid with ease.

For you peace of mind Evie is supplied as standard with a fire alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, LPG & sleeping gas detector, alongside a fire blanket and top of the range JE50 Firetool extinguisher.

Finally, Evie left no expense sparred with her choice of tyres. She boasts a full set of all weather Michelin CrossClimate tyres, meaning she's ready for all conditions!

  • Location & Parking

    Where is Evie?

Evie lives with me near the centre of the beautiful Henley on Thames.

It is also worth noting that during Henley Royal Regatta, Evie is located exceptionally close to the river, town and train station making it perfect for competitors, coaches or spectators. Accommodation is scarce during the regatta, so book early!!
    Pick-up and drop-off times

Default times on the bookings system are 2pm for pick-up and 12 noon for return but individual vehicle owners will have their own limitations on their availbality but will do their best to accommodate your needs.

From the owner:I live right next to Henley-on-Thames train station which has links to London and Reading making it very accessible for those trying to escape city life. Henley is an historic market town world renowned for rowing and the annual Royal Regatta. Set in the rolling Chiltern Hills, Henley itself is often a destination for many tourists, domestic and international, due to it's quaint riverside setting and beauty.
As I am self employed, collection and drop off can be flexible. I'm sure, after booking, we can organise a mutually convenient time to hand Evie over.

    Customer Car Parking
Off street parking is available: If you are coming by car you are welcome to park it where Evie is usually parked.

Please note parking is provided at your own risk
