A Festival for Self-Builders & Van Lovers

It is with great disappointment that we confirm that we have made the decision to postpone Camp Quirky 2020 due to Coronavirus. We are currently looking at 2-4 October for a rescheduled physical event. We have not yet had sign off from the land owners on these dates but will confirm as soon as we do.

On 16th May we will be going live across Facebook and Instagram to mark the event. Join the event here where there will be workshops, music, and more from 4pm.

Current ticket holders will be given first option to transfer their tickets to the new date in October. Any returned tickets will be made available in a future resale. If you would like to be kept informed of this, sign up at bit.ly/CAMPQUIRKY.

Whether you’re a full time vanlifer or a self-builder, if you love campervans or are into all things tiny living; this is the festival for you. Camp Quirky is an opportunity to meet new friends who share your passions. There are workshops and talks aplenty, music to fill your ears and beautiful craft stalls for you to peruse. And of course lots and lots of campervans.

Where did the idea for a handmade campervan festival come from?

Camp Quirky began as an opportunity for Quirky Campers vans and owners to come together, to swap stories, share tips and learn from each other. However, as van life began to grow in the UK, Quirky Campers recognised there was a huge appetite for something much, much bigger.

So, in 2018 we decided to go for it and open up the event to everyone interested in campervan culture: self-builders, professional converters, full time van dwellers, weekend road trippers, vanlife bloggers, YouTubers, and of course as many of our gorgeous Quirky Campers that could make it. The result was a sell out event.

What happened next?

The feedback from 2018 was so positive and we knew there were even more campervan enthusiasts out there who didn’t get the chance to come. So we decided to move sites where we could expand and build on the festival in a way that retained its sense of community but provided more for ticket holders. More workshops and talks, more musical acts, more creative stalls for you to find goodies for your van for, and of course more campervans to gaze at. 2019 was another sell out!

Word really got out then and the 2020 event sold out in just 48 hours. If you’d like to be in with a chance of getting tickets for future events, make sure you sign up to our mailing list here bit.ly/CAMPQUIRKY.

Camp Quirky not only provides you with real self-built inspiration, from a range of vehicle sizes and types of van, every layout you could imagine, technical tips and style ideas. But also a weekend of wholesomeness you’d never thought possible. All just from talking to wonderful like-minded folk who have one thing in common: beautiful campervans and a sense of true adventure in their hearts (ok, that’s two).
